SCIENCE,THE CAUSE OF OUR SUFFERINGS

The basic purpose and object of Science was  to conquer and to dominate the forces of nature for the benefits and good of man.It was considered to be the harbinger of all facilities like  comforts,progress and prosperity.Now a day ,it is looked upon by many people as the major cause of our problems and sufferings.They have solid reasons to prove that all is not well with science and its application.Actually science is a search for truth and reality and as such no fault finding is possible with it.In the perspective of long history sit is proved that that the application of science has not always been governed by the principle of the justice.According to the statement of famous scientist Elbert Einstein who once said ''What is the reason behind this magnificent applied science which reduces work and makes life comfortable , bring us to a little bit happiness?The simple reply is ;Because we have not yet learned how to make use of it sensibly.

If we take birds eye view of the 19th century in which we witnessed the invention of steam locomotive ,oil engines and other machines.Consequently, heavy industries of iron,coal and cloth came into existence.The Production different material and things enhanced profusely and their quality as well as quantity also improved at high level.It was asserted that that the physical hard work and labor was reduced and even taken off the shoulders of man and shifted to machines.But in actual industrialism brought new problems and trouble.It dealt a death blow to various machines particularly the cottage industries and consequently,  the result was unemployment at large scale.It developed the tyranny of capital over labor and manual work.Rich became more rich with the passage of time and rich obtained much more and the poor were back ward and exploited.Strikes and lock outs became daily normal routine and the order of the day.Application of machinery to the service of man resulted into more uneasiness and evil than prosperity and development .Even today,the condition are same and no improvement and better condition. There is discontentment and friction.Prices are rising high and high day by day and the buying power is out of the reach of common people .There are a lot of misery,inflation ,poverty ,starvation,in this modern world.Need and search for raw material and new markets becomes a source of war and destruction.

The application of science in the social sector is not appreciated and generated highly questionable results.The huge induction of machinery raised a new incentive and tempo to man's daily routine life and activity.He became blindly materialistic.Now in this era moral and ethical values of life are entirely ignored and  considered  to be the things of the past.The  great concept and sanctity of joint family has been abolished and violated.Art and literature has gone under the complete influence and inspiration industrialism and mechanization.Despite,People have come to have a new medicines and better surgical facilities and aid,but all that has neither developed nor promoted a better standard of health and care.In spite of more food is grown but unfortunately  all is stored .Poverty and hunger both have prevailed every where rapidly,ignorance and disease still exist all over the world ,while billions of dollars are spent on space travel to the moon every year.Hurry and worry  are the two gift of present culture which  are eating away the modern man .Corruption and adultration are the prominent gift of science and technology of this era.Life on the whole has become highly artificial and monotonous even insecure in all respect

The role of Science in the field of armament is very terrible and horrified.The invention of  armed equipment and gunpowder was considered as a symbol of honor,dignity and great achievement.But with the passage of time it was perfected in a hundred new weapons.Today sensitive weapons namely  artillery,gun fire,shells and bombs have become a vital source of terror to every body.In the same way the most devastating explosive substances in the form of Atom bomb,hydrogen bomb cobalt and nitrogen bomb and various other different type of gases are very destructive powers,intercontinental missiles are weapon of devastation particularly in the event of war.In the light of aforesaid detailed we come to the conclusion that the third world war is sure to wipe off towns,countries,and continents with in the twinkling of eyes and certainly it would be a colossal loss .So modern man is more anxious and worried,more unhappy,and poorer than his fellows in the past.Now life is uncertain and a drudgery for him and it is all due to the wrong use of science. In other words science in itself is not bad thing we make it notorious by using it in a negative and destructive manner.
