ISLAM- THE FASTEST GROWING RELIGION IN USA
No body can deny this fact that presently after Christianity, Islam is the second largest religion all over the world.According to the latest research of pew Research Center ,which is American based, if the current demographic continue in the same way the situation could be different and Islam will take over Christianity after all in 2070.According to the reliable survey ,there were total 3.3 million Muslims in U.S in 2015 and it is approximately 1% of U.S.population.According to the an other research by PRC in 2014,they told that 0.9% of U.S.is Muslim adults.Similarly 2011 American Muslims survey indicated amazing figures and this survey was conducted in different languages including English,Urdu,Persian and Arabic and showed that there were 1.8 million Muslims adults and 2.75 million Muslims of all ages in U.S. and majority of Muslims are immigrants which is almost 63% of Muslims.According to the demographic projection it is expected that Muslims population will touch 2.1% of the U.S.population by the 2050 taking over the Jewish on purely religion basis.An other important factor behind the growth of Islam is its social system.Let me show in detail the exact picture of Islam and its relation with socialism.
It is fact that Islam stands for all that is good,healthy and desirable in life.It is perfect code of life and it is the religion for all time,culture,generations and societies.Today it has to face and encounter the challenge of growing socialism.When the communist believed that their direct attack on Islam and Muslims could not succeed,they finally resorted to fraud.Now they declare that there is no difference between Islam and socialism and both are same.They preach and believe that we should adopt Islam as a creed to edify and hike our souls and purge and purify our thoughts,and embrace socialism as the economic system to solve our economic problems.To deceive the people they have coined a artificial term ''Islamic socialism ''also.The fact ,however. is that socialism does not at all see eye to eye with Islamic ideology and thought although it might be in some respect superficially or fundamentally resemble Islam.Socialism is dishonestly and wrongly mentioned as being a purely economic system;it is,in fact,a philosophy of life .But in actual it is against to Islam in both theory as well as in practice.
Theoretically Islam and socialism both stand contrary to each other in many respect
(1) Socialism rely on a purely materialistic basis.It does not accept and recognize any thing which is not material.according to the Engels who was a friend of Karl Marx once said;''Matter is the only real thing in the world'.Hence in socialism there is no place whatsoever for any idea or concept regarding God,His apostles or even their massage.It is against and ridicules all form of spiritualism.Religion is considered as ''opium to alleviate '' the suffering and miseries of the people with the intention and promise of a good life in the next world.Obviously Islamic stand is quite different from this.
(2) Man is observed and viewed in the perspective of socialism is just a passive being.His will and wish has no value in the eyes of the material and economic forces.In scenario of Islam ,on the other hand,man is viewed as an active being with a free will of his own.His will is subject to the higher will of God alone.According to the Islamic rules and regulations he is the vice regent of God on earth.All material and economic forces are at his command and order.
(3) In accordance with the the social philosophy given by socialist states that society is the only real thing ;the individual has no value and importance except merely as a member of community and society.This is a status and position quite contrast to that mentioned by Islam.Islam relies more upon individual than upon society for the purpose of realization of its ends.It commences its work from the individual instead of community.
(4) As regard Socialist philosophy it is based on the assumption that economic factor only is sole responsible for all changes in society.But on the other hand Islam contrary to this takes into consideration non economic factors also moral in particular.It does not involve and contribute towards the nation that life is but economic.
There are some practical differences between Islam and socialism also as appended below
(a) According to the Islamic creed and law says that the real duty and responsibility of women is the to nourish and propagation of human race.It,therefor, does not encourage her to leave her home and work in factories and fields.But socialism make it obligatory and compulsory for women to go out and work for as many hours as just like men do.In this a fatal blow is felt deeply to family life.
(b) The socialist economy depends on a complete dictatorship of the proletariat and labor community.The state is to decide the functions,work,jobs and duties of various citizens without regard to their respective attitude,mental trend and likeness. Hence there can be no freedom of thought and expression.Islam is free from such type of flaws,absurdities,shortcomings,lapses and vices.
(c) Socialism strongly favors and recommends an out right abolition of all private owner ship.It asserts to bring on a par the wages of all the different type of workers.But the pressure of the circumstances has forced it to abandon its stand.As regard Islamic system of ownership and wages it is more reason able and reliable in all respect as compare to the socialism.
In the light of aforesaid views and expressions it is obvious that Islam is growing rapidly not only in America but also all over the world ,even same condition is observed in Europeans countries.Islamic social system played its crucial role as i have already disclosed this matter in detail in the previous paragraphs.Lets come again to the condition of Islam in u.s. and Europe.Now there should be no ambiguity that Islam is world's fastest growing religion.Even in 2050 almost 10% of all Europeans are projected to embrace Islam which is an alarming figure for other religious community particularly for christian and Jewish.This was communicated by Pew Research Center.According to an other survey and research it is guessed that from 2010 to 2050 the Muslims population will have spiral up to 73% followed by Christians who are projected to grow up to 35% from 2010 to 2050,in the same way Hindus at 34%.keeping in view aforesaid calculations,survey,estimate and projections we come to the conclusion that Islam---presently the world second largest religion--will dominate and surpass Christianity as the world's biggest religion by the end of this on going century.
