Different Types Of Students & Modern Youth
It is fact that in our daily life we commonly come across some different type of interesting characters through out our academic years in our schools and colleges.Some students adhere to one category and some do not fall any category due to their specific nature and habits.some of them are all rounders.Let;s have a birds eye view of these categories and decide in which category do you fall.
(a) Arrogant:
These students obtain almost 90+ marks in all the subjects and yet strongly have unflinching faith in the dictum,;There is always room for the improvement,It is very difficult to segregate them from crowed or gathering because they frequently remain engaged at libraries,in empty class room,even some time at the lunch table with their heads dived down.....not in the soup bowl but in the text books.They are habitual of obtaining ,remarkable marks,and teacher also mark them as remarkable one.
(b) Nerds/Cramming ups:
These are not very intelligent but clever enough to manage A grade they just mug up whole syllabus word by word that is why they are called ;Ratto totay.. Heavy bags and copied notes are their major identification.
(c) Fashionistas:
The main focus of this category is on their turn out and out look just to impress others, that is why these students commonly find equipped with popular hair style,appealing sun glasses,uniform in latest fashion American accent,.They are found of chilling around in a capricious manner.You can easily identify them busy in conversation like;Meray father ye mobile America say lae thay;.wow cool urdu in cool American accent Even in school/college functions they stand out with streaked tresses and spiky hairdo,stilettos,,capris,glasses hanging off back collar and reversed caps.
(d) Conventional sort:
these are entirely opposite to the fashionistas, these commonly use vibrant colored scarves which is their vital identification.Use of Henna on their hands is frequent practice of this category you can easily identify them after observing their red hands due to henna.Moreover these students use bangles in hand and eyes adore with kajal rolling around.
(e) Teacher's pet:
These are the most favorite among the teachers and remain in their good books permanently Never go against the will &wish of these students otherwise they will turn the whole faculty against you in this way you will lose your good reputation in your class.
(f) Face book worms:
This is basically new term in the scenario of on going information technology era and rapid use of internet.But this category is spreading rapidly all over the world day by day.These students suffer status update; fever and become restless even after a single sneeze to report on their time line .Face book is like a dream world for them where they can become whatever they desire.
Book worms:
They have fluctuating mood because they readily changed to face book worms after some time.They always abstain from out door activities and they confine themselves with in the domain of books and study.
Modernity in youth & Students:
One can see it every where ,the students up rising.It has almost become a symptom of times.In France,West Germany,Mexico,Egypt,and England the students have become politically conscious.In some countries ,they have expressed their sentiments in a peaceful manner.In other ,the expression has taken a violent turn.Students revolt are not a new phenomenon.they occurred in Europe through out the 19th century and after the conclusion of the two world wars.What is new about them is almost the international character they have assumed and the fact that they are far better organized than ever before.
The modern young men and students are drifting from the accepted moral values and traditions every where in the world.In the beginning they showed their defiance in dress and advocated personal freedom.Now they have resorted to violence.They bring out procession ,address meeting and clash with the police.Their expression of the revolt takes different shapes:speed,song against war,song for love,long hair and weird dress.They go by different names such as Reddy boys,yakusar,Beatniks,Hippies,Yippies,Crazies.Every where in the world they have been fighting for change.Parents,sociologists and psychologists are asking the same questions.Where is today's generation leading to?Why are they different from their forefathers?The causes of these revolt are not far to seek.
(1) The modern youth's reaction is against the out dated social and political structure.They desire for a decent world not only for themselves bur for every human being.They are the strongest supporters of international understanding.More and more protests against war are being made by them.They see horror in war,dread in bloodshed,disgust in color discrimination.They are the most vehement exponents of peace and equality.Their starting point is usually the condemnation of modern materialistic civilization.In the large interest of humanity ,they discard hypocrisy in politics and other walk of life.They do not trust in their elders and are bent upon bringing a definite change in society.
(2) On the education side ,they want to participate in their education.The vast majority of university and college students today are more informed.They are more widely read and better educated.They are more sensitive to moral issues and matter of their rights..They demand an end to artificial barriers between the students and teachers.T he relation between teacher and the students have already broken down.The university has already become a faceless factory.The professors are unapproachable,the students is no more a number on a computer card.There is over discipline and strict rules and regulations.Academic departments have up held out dated courses of study.Demand for a greater students voice have gone unanswered.Under these circumstances a reaction is natural.
(3) Owing to unemployment and economic disturbance socialism is growing popular among the modern youth.It is the philosophy of violence and revolutions.Under its influence the modern young men and students have come out in the field over throw governments and set up a new state.
