DRUG ADDICTION

Basically drug addiction belongs to brain because it directly influence and change the performance as well as function of brain.A person's self control is impaired and consequently generates intense impulse due to this drug addiction No body can deny the fact that drug addiction has become a global dilemma  and nearly every country all over the world is effected by its adverse effect.It is also fact that Drug dependence has been in vogue for ages.People have been using drug to relieve pains,mitigate,stress,tension,and sufferings and over come troubles.Now drug addiction has become very frequent and common all over the world particularly in the developing countries its ratio is higher than advanced and developed countries.According to recent survey,there are almost more than 13 million drug addicts only  in Pakistan.About 70% of the heroin consumed is only in USA and Europe goes from these areas.Here  which is produced from opium,is the most dangerous and addictive of drugs.Majority of heroin users become addictive merely with in one week.It is a matter of great concern  that most of the heroin users are young.

There are a lot of crucial factors and reasons behind its prevalence.In the perspective of Pakistan The major cause is the Afghan war.Now instead of Iran and Afghanistan  Pakistan has become the transit land due to Afghan war.There ere many people who use heroin to get ride of psychological disorders like tension, depression and to eradicate mental worries.These drugs become a great source to alleviate their mental burden for time being and with the passage of time they become its addict  .The unhealthy influence of bad company can play a significant role in the prevalence of this bad habit. .There is a common misconception and misunderstanding that narcotics increase physical power and energy,even some people consider that drugs enhance their sexual power and in ordered to prolong the time period of sexual intercourse they seek help from diversified type of drugs. Then heroin is the only drug that is available frequently and can be obtain more easily than whisky,beer,wine,and other drugs Some people at the initial stage use narcotics for a new experience and with in a few days they turn themselves into drug addicts and ultimately they ruin their life.

The government of Pakistan is taking grave steps to nip this evil in the bud by using multidimensional measures.As we already familiar with the fact that opium is the most important cause of prevalence of drug and government has banned and stopped its cultivation and production.Motivation,.persuasive as well as coersive steps are being implemented and  adopted to eliminate this heroin business.cooperation of other advanced and developed countries like the USA,Britain,Germany and Canada has been sought to annihilate and counter its spread.The treatment of its addict is is done at psychological level through counselling.Only in Pakistan more than 26 treatment centres have been established through out the country.Police and Special law enforcing agencies are are playing their role with in their domain and operating to combat the sale.manufacture and trafficking of narcotics at all levels.Strict disciplinary action are being taken and Severe punishments are awarded those who found guilty and found involved  in this dirty business.

In the light of aforesaid effects of drug we come to conclusion that spreading drug addiction is a great challenge to us.The parents should keep their eyes open and be alert and keep a strict watch on their children so that they may be saved from the cruel hands of drugs..Children must be motivated and informed regarding the the horrible consequences of this addiction.We should cooperate and extend very help to the government for controlling this dangerous black activity.We must inculcate  the Holy prophet's quotation.Intoxication is the mother of evils and the greatest sin.

At the end i would like to wind up my discussion by saying that no body can deny this reality that any drug can be abused drug and it has very dreadful consequences.we should try our best to eradicate this disease from our society.A comprehensive campaign should be launched to make the people aware pertaining to this bad habit,Our young generation must refrain from involvement in any bad company so that they might be escaped from this colossal loss.
